These are websites where you can find computer-related FREE STUFF, like software, sounds, graphics, animations, and web development tools.

Download.com - this is a large and very comprehensive site for shareware programs. Not only does it have one of the biggest and best selections of shareware around (nicely categorized), but it also has tips & tricks, how-to articles, and windows drivers to boot.

Tucows - Tucows has one of the largest and best varieties of shareware out there - mostly utilities and programs for everything from e-mail to internet to web to graphics... all separated by category and rated for you so you know which are the best programs to download and install.

Lunacore Photoshop Tutorials - find detailed step by step tutorials for how to use photoshop to touch up your photos and create cool digital effects.

Animation City - nice collection of animated gifs to use on your webpages and elsewhere.

Bells & Whistles - This is a great site when you're building a webpage. It not only has lots of animations and graphics and goodies for your page, but also has HTML tutorials and instructions/HTML code for nifty little extras to add to your page (hence the site name).

Absolute Background Textures Archive - Looking for a background for your webpage? look no further!

Free Themes - This site, run by Tucows, has zillions of free desktop themes and other desktop enhancements.

SoundAmerica - looking for wav files? Look no further. Sorted by category, there are tons of wavs from TV, movies, comedy, cartoons, and more, as well as sound utilities and more, all for free download.

MovieWavs.com - More and more wav files at your disposal!

WebDeveloper.com - a great resource for web developers of all experience levels... it has guides on how to build websites, a huge reference section with how-to's and FAQs and tutorials and tons of free scripts to download. If you're working on a website and you want to do a particular type of effect or look but you're not sure how to make it happen, you can find out how to do it on WebDeveloper.com.

PowerPoint Templates - Have you gotten sick of the templates that come with Microsoft Powerpoint?  Well, Microsoft has a whole library of free PowerPoint templates available on their website.  I've found some great ones there!

AntiVirus Center - Symantec, the makers of the world's leading antivirus software (Norton AntiVirus) have a great antivirus center and library at their website - you can find information about different viruses, how they'll affect your computer, and how to get rid of them.

3dcrew 3d wallpaper - This website has some GORGEOUS large 3-D images that can be used as desktop wallpaper even for the highest resolution screens.  My laptop screen resolution is 1600x1200, and even I was able to find some beautiful wallpaper images here.
